APPRAISER COMMENTS:

This painting of children in a field was painted by Realist painter, Adolf Sehring (1930-). In addition to painting, Sehring was also adept at bronze sculpture. We would like to point out that there is a Sehring painting titled “Children in a Field.” It is possible that this is a copy of that painting and not an original. To know for certain one way or the other, this piece would have to be authenticated (physically) by an expert. For purposes of this appraisal, however, we will assume that the piece is genuine. Based on comparative data for other Adolf Sehring paintings recently sold, and considering the similarities and differences for the condition, size, artistic merit, and age, we have valued the subject painting as indicated.
